All Coaches who are responsible for boxers taking part in sparring and in competition must be qualified and in possession of a current valid coaching qualification. The minimum requirement of a coach is the ALLIANCE Coach Award Level 1 (Assistant Coach Award).

 All qualified assistant coach must attend the Full Coach Award (Level 2) within three years. All coaches from full coach and above should attend Regional Update Seminars.

Coaches who have been inactive for a period of three years and wish to regain their coaching qualification, must retake the full course at the level at which they were last registered.

A person taking an Assistant Coach course must be at least 17 years of age and a member of an affiliated club or Affiliated Association. Ideally he should have successfully completed a First Aid Course that is recognised by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE). He should also have a DBS clearance by the ALLIANCE. For the Assistant Coaches Award the minimum First Aid requirement is the “Appointed Persons First Aid Course.” He will not receive his Coaching qualification certificate nor be eligible to coach within the ALLIANCE until a valid First Aid Certificate is produced

Candidates must arrive in training gear and bring with them; Pen & Paper, Hook & Jab Pads and Sparring Gloves. Tea and Coffee provided but you must bring a light lunch with you.
Candidates must arrive by 9.00am for 9.30am start.
